LEARN IT!

In the Explore Zone a number of the Denmark’s most innovative coorporations and organizations are showing their newest inventions in green tech. Go explore the future of energy!

Future now by Grundfos
Got a minute? Share your thoughts on climate change, and how, why, and what we can do to protect the future.

You just have to explain it in one minute. Your ideas can inspire and influence people, companies and politicians throughout 2009 and beyond. All contributions from the confession box at the stand will be presented to the politicians at COP15. Visit the Grundfos FUTURE NOW pavilion and let the politicians know your ideas. You can also sign an original petition, where you just have to sign your name on the big FUTURE NOW letters.

Furthermore you can learn more about pumps and pump technology. We have a sustainable dosing bar, where you can mix your own drink or you can challenge your friends at the water table soccer game. See you at the FUTURE NOW pavilion.

The British Council
At British Council’s stand you can get smarter on Denmark’s CO2-future.

The group Climate Advocates will be showing video interviews with scientists and business/trade people share their ideas on how and when Denmark will be 100% CO2-neutral. The concept is called Danmark 2025 and is developed on a volunteer basis by Climate Advocates Denmark.

Visit the stand, take a small snack break and listen to the wise words of experts.

Green vision
At CO2PENHAGEN, students from Risø DTU will be giving a demonstration projects to promote the event GREEN VISION, which is taking place in November 2009, just be for the UN’s Climate Summit in Copenhagen. The idea is to provide you with a totally green picture of Denmark, as GREEN VISION will introduce the function of fuel cells and their integration with wind power.

GREEN VISION will be serving ‘hot shots’ right off the fuel cell and visualize its function via easy-to-understand animations. Last but not least you can expect an introduction to the overall totally green vision, which is developed by Danish students and an ongoing project with a broad student collaboration aiming towards better technical solutions to improve both our daily lives and our use of natural resources.

Risø DTU
While taking part in many of the projects at CO2PENHAGEN, Risø DTU will also host an info tent.

Here, a demonstration of wind power, new ”flexible” solar cells and a mobile biogas plant will take place. Meanwhile, the biogas plant will also be used for making pancakes!
